Join us as we learn about the Dr. Sullivan and Richie Jean Sherrod Jackson Home, which opens in Greenfield Village this June. See how everyday Americans contribute to “doing history” by preserving, sharing and honoring their family legacies — just as the Jackson family did in Selma, Alabama. Their home, which served as a safe haven for Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. and other civil rights leaders, played a pivotal role in the Selma to Montgomery marches and the passage of the Voting Rights Act of 1965. The Jacksons’ commitment to preserving their home and its stories is a powerful reminder that history lives not only in archives, but in living rooms, photo albums and oral traditions.

Registration emails will be shared with the Henry Ford. KR
