Leave No American Behind (POW/MIA): Presentation

Learn how forensic science is being used identify and account for America’s missing military service members. Designated as Prisoners of War or Missing in Action in conflicts since WWII, POW/MIAs never came home, and their families didn't know what happened to them. The US Defense POW/MIA Accounting Agency is dedicated to providing the fullest possible accounting for our missing personnel to their families and the nation. There are still over 80,000 services members missing.

Alex Villalva worked for over 20 years in the DOD community of accounting for US Missing In Action service members. He used specialized forensic skills and techniques to analyze aircraft wreckage and personal flight apparel artifacts.
