The Library and Township building will be closed for Township generator installation from May 22 through 24. The Library will remain closed from May 26 through June 7 for the Memorial Day holiday as well as a carpet replacement project. No items will be due during the closure and fines will not accrue. The outside drop box will remain available for returns during the closure, but items placed in the drop box will not be checked in until 6/7. Further details regarding the closure are below.
- 5/22-5/24: The Library and Township building will be closed for Township generator installation.
- 5/26: The Library will be closed for the Memorial Day holiday.
- 5/27-6/7: The Library will be closed for carpet replacement.
- The Library will reopen with normal hours on Monday, 6/9 at 10 AM.
- There will be no due dates for the duration of this closure.
- Fines will not accrue during the closure.
- The Library will be unable to accept donations from 5/3 to 6/7.
- The Library will be available by phone (248-846-6550) or email (reference@springfield.lib.mi.us) for help with card renewals, blocked accounts or other questions and concerns.
- The Library’s outside drop box will be available for returns, but we encourage returns at other area libraries including: White Lake Township Library, Waterford Township Public Library, Milford Public Library and Highland Township Public Library.
- Patrons can pick up their holds at other area libraries in our shared system including those listed above.
