Library Board Meeting

Library Board meetings are open to the public and subject to Wisconsin's Open Meetings Law. 

A library board in Wisconsin acts as the governing body responsible for the legal, financial, and operational oversight of the public library, adhering to Chapter 43 of the Wisconsin Statutes. Their primary job is to:

• set policies,
• manage library property,
• control all expenditures (including donations and appropriations), and
• hire and evaluate a qualified library director.
