Meet the Author: Stuck! The Story of the La Brea Tar Pits

An Ice Age Ecosystem Mired in Muck! This one-hour interactive session includes a reading of Joyce Uglow's nonfiction picture book, STUCK! The Story of La Brea Tar Pits. Hear about the asphalt seeps, learn why so many ice age animals got stuck, talk about the timeline, and find out about the 3.5+ million fossils already unearthed at La Brea. After the story, we'll do an activity showing just how stuck those animals got! Joyce will have books for sale and would love to personally sign any copies of books purchased!
