Mindfulness and Meditation for the New Year

Not quite sure how to start the new year? How about learning mindfulness and meditation to help with stress? Amy Tarrant from Meditate Detroit will lead you through a basic introduction to mindfulness. In this 60-minute session you will learn about what mindfulness is and isn’t. She will go over the brain science and research findings about the benefits of practicing mindfulness and meditation. You will get the chance to experience two different meditation practices. Comfort is important! Please wear comfortable clothing, bring a pillow or cushion if you need back support while seated and a yoga mat if you prefer to sit on the floor.
