On May 26, 1927, Ford Motor Company built its fifteen millionth Model-T. This special car represented the end of the Model T’s remarkable 19-year production run. In this live virtual Zoom event, Matt Anderson explores the ceremony surrounding the car’s build, its use as a corporate symbol, and its conservation and exhibition at The Henry Ford.
Matt Anderson joined The Henry Ford as Curator of Transportation in 2012. From childhood, he’s always been fascinated by anything with wheels or wings. His favorite artifacts include the Wright Cycle Shop, the 1948 Tucker 48 sedan, and – like everyone else who’s ever visited the museum – the 1941 Allegheny locomotive.
