Mt. Clemens, MI

According to the 2010 census, the tree-lined streets of Mt. Clemens are home to 16,314 people. The city is the county seat of Macomb County in Southeast Michigan near Lake St. Clair. The Clinton River runs through Mount Clemens. In 1799, the city was settled and named after Christian Clemens. The city has one of the oldest public libraries, the Mount Clemens Public Library. In its hay day, Mt. Clemens had 11 bathhouses. Only one remains, the St. Joseph’s Sanitarium and Bath House, which has been renamed Select Specialty Hospital. The city is home to Morley Candy factory and Selfridge Air National Guard Base. Some points of destination include The Metropolitan Beach Metropark at Lake St. Clair, Mount Clemens Ice Arena and Fitness Center, The Art Center, and the Crocker House.
