Join us on Tuesday September 24th at 7PM in the Steinberg Room as we are joined by Kristopher Jansma. He will read from his new novel Our Narrow Hiding Places and will be joined in conversation by novelist Jennifer Fawcett. Copies of the book will be available for sale at the event from Inquiring Minds Bookstore. Register to receive an email reminder the day before the event.
Kristopher Jansma is the author of the novels Why We Came to the City and The Unchangeable Spots of Leopards, the winner of the Sherwood Anderson Foundation Fiction Award and a Pushcart Prize, and the recipient of an honorable mention for the PEN/Hemingway Award. His short fiction has been published in the Alaska Quarterly Review, Prairie Schooner, Story, and ZYZZYVA. His nonfiction has been published in the New York Times, The Sun, The Millions, Salon, Real Simple, The Believer, and Electric Literature. Kristopher Jansma is an associate professor of English and the director of the creative writing program at SUNY New Paltz.
Jennifer Fawcett grew up in rural Ontario and spent many years in Canada making theatre before coming to the United States. Her debut novel, Beneath the Stairs, was published by Atria and optioned for television by Black Bear Pictures.
