Pages Across Nations: An International Book Club

This new librarian-led club will discuss works by contemporary authors from around the world. Meetings take place on the first Wednesday of each month at 7 p.m. starting September 2023. 

Registration for the September 2023 to August 2024 club sessions begins Tuesday, August 1. By registering, Bloomfield Township residents automatically reserve a copy of each month's book. Nonresidents are welcome to register but must source a copy elsewhere.

February 7 – Clash of Civilizations over an Elevator in Piazza Vittorio by Amara Lakhous (Italy)

April 3 – The Morning Star by Karl Ove Knausgaard (Norway) 

May 1 – The God of Small Things by Arundhati Roy (India)

June 5 – The End of Eddy by Édouard Louis (France)

August 7 – A Brief History of Seven Killings by Marlon James (Jamaica)
