Paint a Picture with Words: Literacy Workshop with L.J. Madwish

Ages 5-12 and their caregivers are invited to the Library's Jones Meeting Center on Tuesday, August 13 at 4 p.m. for an author talk from Linda Darwish and Jamila Maden, a mother-daughter duo published as L.J. Madwish. The two teamed up to write a children's book series called Mary and Mike's Magnanimous Adventures. At this event, Darwish and Maden will lead caregiver-child activities that support emerging readers and give participants tools to grow their child's vocabulary, self-expression, and love for reading. Registration is required.
