Born in Liverpool, England on June 18, 1942, James Paul McCartney turns 80 in 2022. Music has been a lifelong passion of the artist. At age 15, McCartney met another young rock & roll enthusiast, John Lennon, and joined his band, the Quarrymen. After playing gigs around Liverpool, the group changed their name to the Beatles in 1960 and the rest is history.
