Photographer Mark Mahoney's work will be on display in the Library's Galleria from Wednesday, March 22-Wednesday, May 3. His exhibition, Photos That Tell A Story, explores and celebrates the ability of the camera to highlight human connectivity and storytelling. 

 

Meet Mahoney and learn more about his work at a reception on Friday, March 31 from 4-6 p.m. in the Library's Galleria.

 

Mahoney will also give a talk on Sunday, April 23 from 2-4 p.m. in the Jones Meeting Room. He'll share his experiences as a photojournalist and the stories behind his photographs. Call (423) 434-4454 for more information.

 

Mark Mahoney received his Bachelor of Science in Photojournalism from Boston University, and worked as a photojournalist and writer for several years in the 1970s at the Kingsport Times-News. He then worked at several Gannett newspapers as a director of photography and as an assistant managing editor of photography. After being a freelance videographer for a period, he now teaches 8th grade English in Northeast Tennessee.
