Pleasant Ridge, MI

The City of Pleasant Ridge is a suburb of Detroit located in Oakland County, Michigan. According to the 2010 census the population was 2,526. The city was founded in 1919 with Burt Taylor’s subdivision of the Mayday farm. Pleasant Ridge was named after the ridge that ran through the city. The area is known for its historic houses, many in which are part of a nationally recognized historic district. Some fun things to do near the city are Stephenson Park, Detroit Area Art Deco Society, and Bobkat Art Service.
