The Racine Public Library has been a part of the Racine community for 125 years, and counting. Since 1897, we have grown from a single reading room in a downtown building to a two-story community gathering place that services the Racine community east of Interstate 94. In addition to our building, we also have a Bookmobile, Techmobile and book bikes that stop throughout the community, as well as outreach libraries and a home delivery service.
Our Mission
To lift up the lives of the people of the Racine community by embracing community diversity, promoting inclusion, creating opportunity, and by supporting the development of community literacy through a love of literature, learning and civic engagement.
