Don’t miss one of the library’s most popular events! The Recycled Reads book sale, hosted by the Patrons of the Public Library (POPL) with support from the Library, draws a big crowd each month. You'll find a wide selection of gently used books at unbeatable prices, with all proceeds benefiting the East Baton Rouge Parish Library system including popular literacy events like the Summer Reading Program, One Book One Community, and the Author/Illustrator program.

• No registration required
• $40 spending limit per person
• Barcode scanning tools/apps are no longer allowed at Recycled Reads. This event is intended for leisure shoppers.

Parking is limited due to the event’s popularity—especially right at 9 AM. A small lot is available across Westmoreland, and street parking is permitted. 

Do you prefer a calmer browsing experience? If crowds or noisy environments feel overwhelming, or if you simply want more space to move around, join us between 12-2 PM for a quieter, more relaxed shopping window.
