Come and learn self-defense moves geared towards women ages 13 & up. This class focuses on a variety of self-defense techniques against different types of attacks. This is a safe environment for women to practice multiple evasion techniques and gain improved awareness of their surroundings to avoid being a victim. The seminar is taught by Andrea Moon, a 4th degree black belt in Japanese Shotokan Karate and has facilitated many seminars at libraries, community centers and conferences.
Participants should wear loose-fitting clothes. Jewelry needs to be removed and long hair tied back. Students receive a written handout reviewing techniques covered during the seminar for further practice.
