RHGS Event - Clinton-Kalamazoo Canal

Guest speaker Deborah Remer will discuss the history of the failed Clinton-Kalamazoo Canal project. She is a life-long Macomb County resident, her roots run deep into the Macomb County 1870’s when her great-great grand parents arrived from Germany to Sterling Township. She will take you on a journey along the pathway of the Clinton and Kalamazoo Canal as you explore Michigan’s answer to the Erie Canal.
