Have you ever heard of the Ford Hunger March? In 1932, unemployed union workers and their families marched to the Rouge plant carrying a list of demands for Henry Ford. Why did this happen? What was the outcome? Has anyone memorialized this important part of Detroit and automotive history? Those questions and more will be answered by Bill Cohen, Local 600, who was instrumental in getting not only a historical marker but a memorial park established.
