Slicing Big Apple Baseball

Professor Fischer, a Suffern resident and award-winning, dynamic City College professor of political science and history, is once again available to deliver a humorous, animated and richly informative two-hour presentation on the history and contemporary state of NYC baseball. He will include little-heard anecdotes, colorful quotes and baseball trends starting from before the Big Apple became the city of three teams all the way to the present-day Mets and Yankees. Professor Fischer, twice nominated Distinguished Professor of history and political science at City College in Manhattan, also conducts humorous tours as a certified NYC tour guide. He has created and taught numerous electives on the history of baseball and sports as a former award-winning high school teacher in the Bronx and Manhattan and as a college professor.
Professor Fischer welcomes young and old to this funny and provocative two-hour presentation and welcomes all guests to bring any special memorabilia and jerseys they would like to share! Be ready to talk baseball and ask fun questions!
