In the spirit of leisure, join us for Summer Reading from June 21st through August 19th at the Southfield Public Library. Summer offers the opportunity to catch up with ourselves. You can discover the books you’ve been hoping to read (or listen to) and find new possibilities during this lazy season.
Begin by stopping at the Fiction Desk to get a souvenir Reading Log to track your reading adventures. It will be your keepsake of this time—maybe you'll complete more than one!
Be alert for weekly social media genre videos called So You Want to Read... That's where you can learn more about the wide world of personal reading and consider recommendations.
Once you enjoy a particular book, you're welcome to compose a Haiku Review for sharing on the 2nd floor and on our social media. If you'd like to discuss your reading discoveries, then please attend the What Have You Been Reading? meetings.
It's easy to participate and it's all at your pace. There's no registration. Personal growth and deeper reflection are the benefits you’ll gain as you read or listen your way through the summer of 2022. Anyone 18 years & older can join in. Speak to the Librarians at the Fiction Desk for more information, call (248) 796-4260 or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
