St. Clair Shores, MI

The city of St. Clair Shores is located in Macomb County Southeast Michigan and has a population of over 59,700. The area was first settled by the French in the 1700s and called L’Anse Creuse. Before it became a city in 1951, St. Clair Shores was the largest village in the U.S. St. Clair Shores was once known as “Hockeytown USA” and is home to the first privately owned indoor ice hockey arena in the U.S. It is also known for its “Nautical Mile”, which is a strip of shops and marinas on Jefferson Avenue between Nine Mile and Ten Mile roads. St. Clair Shores has one of the longest running local pageants that is recognized by the Miss America organization. Some fun things to do are Infinity-Ovation Yacht Charters, Arsenal of Democracy Museum, and the Selinski-Green Farmhouse.
