Still Building Pride: What Pride Looks Like in Community is an art-centered gathering that explores how pride is built, expressed, and sustained through connection, creativity, and shared space.
The exhibition features Man in the City–inspired canvases created by community members and artists. Visitors of all ages are invited to participate in a hands on playful and accessible introduction to Sauvé's iconic figure and its creative possibilities.
The event will take place in the Pittman-Puckett Gallery, which honors the memory of community members Susan Pittman and Christine Puckett and showcases work by locally based LGBTQ+ artists.
Opening remarks will be delivered by Josh Puckett at 2:00 PM, followed by an introduction of Affirmations’ Gallery Liaison, Light Amor, light refreshments, and art making.
This event is open to the public. Art will be available for purchase following the opening remarks and throughout the entire month.
There is no cost to attend, and donations are always accepted.
