Sunday Songwriter Series: Marbrisa

Marbrisa started her musical journey in Latin America at age 23. This ambitious, self-taught musician got her chops by accompanying locals in Guatemala on their busking trips, from buses to street  markets, and local cafeterias. She studied Flamenco guitar in Spain and now blends everything from Latin and jazz to R&B and folk. While in New Orleans, she founded an ongoing composer event, Queens of the Song Age, currently hosted at the Detroit House of Music.
