Super Smash Bros. Ultimate Tournament

3 stock. Final Destination. No items. Think you’re good at Super Smash Bros. Ultimate? Come take part in our summer tournament! Trophies, prizes, and glory are yours to win! Snacks will be provided. 

Teens only (grades 6-12). Registration required. Costumes encouraged! Spectators and hecklers are encouraged to attend!

RULES: 

• Teens only (grades 6-12). 
• Registration required for participation. Maximum of 16 participants. 
• No physical interference with other players. 
• Heckling is allowed, but should be good-spirited rather than unkind (sufficiently toxic behavior is grounds for disqualification). 
• Players may bring their own Nintendo Switch controllers to play with, if desired. 
• All/any unlocked characters are allowed. DLC content is unavailable.

TOURNAMENT STRUCTURE: 

• Participants will be randomly seeded into a starting bracket. 
• Each round will consist of a 1-on-1 fight between two participants (the ruleset that will be used for each match is listed below). 
• This is a double-elimination tournament, which means every participant will play at least 2 matches. For further details, see double elimination tournament.
• Players must declare their characters before picking the stage. 
• Each match, players can pick between the following stages (in the event of a disagreement, a coin toss will determine the stage): 
  
  • Battlefield
  • Final Destination
  • Pokemon Stadium 2
  • Smashville
  • Town & City
• The following ruleset will be used for matches: 
  
  • 3 stock
  • 7 minute time limit
  • No items
  • No stage hazards
  • No CPUs
