In honor of Arab American Heritage Month, families are invited to learn about the artistry and rich history of Palestinian embroidery, which is called tatreez. Tatreez has been practiced in Palestine and across the diaspora for centuries, with each region developing their own unique style and motifs with special meanings.
Teens and adults can try their hand at stitching traditional tatreez motifs, guided by an experienced tatreez artist and instructor, Jenin, with the US Palestinian Community Network. Coloring sheets of traditional tatreez designs will be available for kids to color.
Registration is not required, but supplies will be available on a first-come, first-served basis.
