Teen Community Service: Plarn
Need service hours or just want to help out in the community? You can make plarn (plastic yarn) for Macomb Feeding the Need at home to bring to the library and get credit for volunteering at that organization. The materials you will need for this event include at least 20 plastic grocery bags and scissors. Bring the completed plarn balls to the library by May 19 to receive credit for the hours. You will get one hour of community service for each plarn ball. This event is for teens entering grades 9 to 12 and registration is required. When registering please include your email as we will need that to email the instructions. Participants must have a valid Roseville library card in good standing in their name to register for this program. We are waiving the requirement of submitting a completed volunteer application as long as teen community service is being offered virtually during the pandemic.
