This latest Armchair Tour, co-sponsored by The Historical Society of the Nyacks, features Village of Nyack historian JP Schutz and John Green Preservation Society President Win Perry and will be moderated by Historical Society of the Nyacks Trustee, Bill Batson. JP Schutz reveals the story of Nyack citizen John Green, builder of one of Nyack’s oldest homes that the John Green Preservation Coalition saved from destruction. Green’s impact endures from his role in many transformative projects that have shaped Nyack to this day. His legacy is complicated by the economic benefits reaped from the labor of enslaved Africans. Q & A to follow. Coalition President Win Perry will participate in the discussion following the talk.
