The Golden Age of Film Noir and its Novels: James M. Cain

Join us for a celebration of the past. One Saturday each month from April to August, there will be a different author featured for a showcase of classic mystery stories and the detectives who helped to solve the crimes.

Selected authors include Raymond Chandler, Dashiell Hammett, James M. Cain, Cornell Woolrich, and W. R. Burnett. These showcases will include an overview of the author’s best-known stories, and the main characters, with clips from some of the classic films that they had inspired.

This program is free and intended for teens and adults. No registration is required.
