Join us in the Library's Jones Meeting Center on Tuesday, February 27 at 6 p.m. to hear Langston Centre Supervisor Adam Dickson speak about the impact that Jim Crow laws had on Johnson City's Black community. Dickson will discuss how these prejudicial laws, introduced to the South during the late 19th and early 20th centuries to mandate racial segregation, had lasting effects on local Black residents and how they laid the groundwork for the Civil Rights Movement.
