Meteorologist Paul Gross discusses the impartial science behind climate change. Presented in partnership with AAUW.
Gross is one of the nation’s leaders in communicating the truth about climate change, with no politics or advocacy. He will present an engaging science lecture and then allow substantial time for
questions and discussion.
Local 4 meteorologist emeritus Paul Gross was born in Detroit and has spent his entire life and career right here in southeast Michigan. A proud University of Michigan graduate, Paul is one of only six
meteorologists in the world to ever be named a Fellow of the American Meteorological Society, an AMS Certified Consulting Meteorologist, and an AMS Certified Broadcast Meteorologist. He was awarded
eleven Emmys during his forty year career by the Michigan Chapter of the National Association of Television Arts and Sciences, and his 2016 climate change webcast that aired live on ClickOnDetroit.com earned a first-place award from the Michigan Association of Broadcasters. Paul follows the science of global warming very carefully, and frequently gives lectures to share the scientific truth about Earth’s changing climate. He also consults in the legal field and has testified in court as a meteorology expert witness nearly four dozen times.
