Mark Navin, PhD, HEC-C, is a Professor and Chair of Philosophy at Oakland University (OU), lecturer in the Department of Foundational Medical Studies at Oakland University William Beaumont School of Medicine (OUWB), and Clinical Ethicist at Beaumont Health. In this in-depth program, he will address the many ethical and political issues raised by common efforts to promote childhood immunization. This presentation provides historical context, epidemiological evidence, and ethical arguments aimed at helping us think through the benefits and burdens of various childhood immunization promotion efforts.

Smart Towns is a lifelong learning program for everyone in the community led by Ascension Providence Rochester Hospital, Oakland University, Rochester University, Rochester-Avon Historical Society, Rochester Hills Museum at Van Hoosen Farm, and Rochester Hills Public Library.
