Utica, MI
Utica is a city in Macomb County, Southeast Michigan. According to the 2010 census, it had a population of 4,757. The city was platted by Joseph Stead in 1829 and it was named it Harlow. The city was also referred to as “Hog’s Hollow” and “McDougalville” until it was finally named Utica in honor of a city in New York. Events hosted by Utica include the Appetite for Arts Festival, Utica Riverwalk Festival, and Utica Gasoline Alley Car Show. Popular destinations are Jimmy John Field, Yates Cider Mill, and the Mall at Partridge Creek.
