White Cloud Cemetery Walk

The Cemetery Walk was first hosted by the Newaygo County Society of History and Genealogy on August 2nd, 2009, with a turn out of around 400 people. For anyone who is not familiar with this event, volunteers are placed at specific spots in the cemetery and give small presentations about the subject or lives of the people they are depicting. Careful research is done to make sure that information given is accurate. The cemetery walk is a way for people to learn and connect with the history of White Cloud and the surrounding area. This year there are currently nine stations including: -George Rosenberg -Big Elk -Mac Slade -Swedetown -Al Mendham -Alpheus Sidebotham -George (Billy) Martin -Andy Burke Make sure to watch for any updates or changes as the date approaches!
