Join a naturalist from the Ottawa County Parks for a wildflower walk on Tuesday, May 6, from 6:00-8:00 pm at the Rosy Mound Natural Area. If you're a wildflower expert, a beginner, or you'd just like to go for a walk and learn some fun facts about West Michigan's wildlife and parks, you'll find something to enjoy.
Hike through the beautiful freshwater dune system at Rosy Mound Natural Area in search of spring wildflowers. We'll talk about the adaptations they have that make them especially prevalent in the habitats they grow in. We'll also be identifying particular species with some instruction on what to look for as an aid in identification.
Note: Rosy Mound's trail system contains many steps and stairs, and physical exertion is necessary. Registration and a Physical Activity Wavier are required.
