Ancient Mesopotamians' great achievements in many scientific fields still impact us and are being used today. However, for a long time the women who helped build this civilization were silenced by historians. As the past one hundred years have shown, these women played larger roles outside the home than previously thought, including holding great political power and religious status.
Born in Baghdad to an ancient lineage called the Chaldeans (Neo-Babylonians who still speak Aramaic), Weam Namou is the Executive Director of the Chaldean Culture Center in West Bloomfield. Join us VIA ZOOM as she brings to light what history has only begun to understand.
Registration is required. An email with the link will be sent out the day before and the day of the program.
