Local songwriter Matt Fredericks has the warm heart of a blue-collar poet; he’s long been the leader of the folk-Americana group known as Poor Player (a subtle Shakespearean reference).

Fredericks’ songs blend a folk-singers storytelling sensibilities with a bit of alt-country twang!

Plus, he holds a degree in Information/Library Sciences!
