Parchment, MI
Known as “The Paper City,” Parchment is a city in Kalamazoo County, Michigan and has a population of over 1,800. The area was occupied by the Kalamazoo Vegetable Parchment Company in 1909 and slowly grew as the company started to sell land around its mill. In 1930 an election was held and Parchment became a village. In 1939 it became a city. Portions of the Kalamazoo River flow along the edge of the city. A major event in the city is Kindleberger. Places to visit are Kindleberger Park and Cornerview Café.
